Gyirong border, the one taking place of Zhangmu, becomes the bridge to connect Tibet and Nepal.

Day 1 Kathmandu-Gyirong

Early morning drive from Kathmandu to Nepal-Tibet border (Gyirong) by private vehicle on. After finishing immigration formalities both Nepal & China side, you will continue up the steep, winding mountain road to Nyalam.Due to the rough road condition in Nepal,the 155km distance would take you about 8 yours. Overnight in Zhangmu.

Day 2  Gyirong to Rongpuk Monastery (370km, 7 hours) [B]

From Gyirong, a continued drive via LALUNGLA (5050m) will bring us in view of MT. LANGTANG (7245m), MT. XIXAPANGMA (8013m), & MT. DORJE LAKPA (6980m), MT. MAKALU ( 8464m), MT. EVEREST (8848m), MT. LHOTSE (8516m) & MT. CHOOYU (8201m). In the late afternoon, we will arrive at the Rongpuk Monastery which is the highest monastery in the world. Overnight at the Rongpuk Monastery.

Day 3 Everest Base Camp / Shigatse (400km, 8 hours) [B]

Early in the morning before sun rise on the top of Mt, Everest, you can have a full view the magnificent Mt. Everest standing like a snow-capped pyramid in front of you at Rongpuk, which is the vantage point for watching Mt. Everest. Rongphu Monastery is the highest temple in the world and a Tibetan Buddhist monastery of the Nyingma sect. This monastery is 5,800 meters above sea level. Towing in the severely cold climate, it is the highest altitude monastery on the planet, there are totally 30 Buddhist monks and 30 nuns live in the monastery. However, some local people say there are only about 20 nuns and 10 monks, but there used to be about 500 monks and nuns.

Then come back to tent and tour guide will take you to take visit Mt, Everest. After that drive back to Shikatse And again visit Lhatse to have lunch and then drive back to Shigatse around 6-7pm you will arrive at Shikatse to spend the night over their. Overnight in Shigatse.

Day 4 Shigatse to Lhasa via Gyantse(350km,7 hours driving) [B]

Shigatse is the second largest city of Tibet. The famous Tashilhunpo Monastery is situated in Shigatse, which is home to the official throne of Panchen Lama. The most important attraction for today is Yamdro-tso Lake and Kubum monastery in Gyantse. From the top of the pass kangpa-la at 4700m high in clear weather, you can see the fabulous shade of deep turquoise, Yamdro-tso Lake is shaped like coiling scorpion with deep blue in colour. Kubum monastery, means 100,000 images in Tibetan, is the town's foremost attraction, The 35m-high chorten (stupa) with its white layers trimmed with decorative stripes and its crown-like golden dome, is awe-inspiring. You can visit every chambers in the monastery. In late afternoon of today, we arrive in Lhasa. Overnight in Lhasa.

Day 5 Lhasa Sightseeing: Potala Palace/Jokhang Temple/Barkhor street [B]

Morning section to visit the famous Potala palace and explore the grandest of this myriad chapels, its audience halls, the jeweled and Golden burial chortens(stupa Tombs) of past Dalai Lamas, and tremendous number of Buddhist frescoes, thangkas, combinations of mandala, figures of the Buddha. Made of precious metal. Afternoon section visiting to the holist temple in Tibet, the Johkang Temple, built during songtsen gonpo’s reign by princess wencheng of tang dynasty, 647 A.D. The inner circuit is also situated inside the temple and is lined with prayer-wheel and murals outlined in gold on red background, which depict the thousand buddhas, interspersed with stupas and relief-images. Johkang is circuit. The circular pilgrim route around Jokhang temple is called barkhor and later flourished, forming the embryo of the city. The barkhor market itself is the most active in all tibet,and it is possible to purchase traditional Tibetan artifacts, religious implements, antiques, books, Tibetan music instrument, Thangkas, and tradition tibetan clothes etc. Overnight in Lhasa

Day 6 Lhasa Sightseeing: Sera Monastery/Drepung Monastery [B]

Drepung monastery is situated at the foothill of a mountain and was founded by Jamyang Choeje in 1416. It was once home of 10000 monks and Ganden podrang in Drepung is famous it was the government centre during fifth dalai lama and later moved to the famous potala palace during fifth dalai lama. By the time you can also vist the Nechung monastery located 1km southeast of Drepung and is the abode of the protector deity pehar and the seat of the state Oracle of Tibet.

In the afternoon exploring the Sera monastery which was founded in 1419 by Tsongkapa’s disciple Jamchen Choeje. The most attractive is that Monks debiting is held there in the courtyard at around 6-7:30 in the afternoon section. Overnight at Lhasa (Notice, the sequence of sightseeing of first two days may be adjusted according to the reservation of visiting Potala Palace). Overnight in Lhasa

Day 7 Departure Lhasa [B]
